Dear Colleagues,

We would like to cordially invite you to the Trinational Conference, 5th Innsbruck Targeted Temperature Management Symposium 2017. Taking place from June 1-2, 2017 in Constance, Germany, it is jointly organized by the Neurocritical Care Unit of the Department of Neurology, Medical University Innsbruck, Austria; the Medical Intensive Care of the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland and the clinic for anaesthesiology and intensive care of the Johanniter Kliniken – Waldkrankenhaus Bonn, Germany. For our Symposium we have chosen the BODENSEEFORUM Konstanz that is ideally located with a panoramic view of the Seerhein promenade, directly at the water’s edge within walking distance to the nearby historic city centre and the lake Constance. The three-country region of Lake Constance offers a unique environment to share experiences and knowledge, interact and network with colleagues of all three countries and get in touch with renowned experts from all over the world.

The aim of Care for Heart And Brain - is to enhance the knowledge on targeted temperature management (TTM), increase the readiness and stimulate the preparedness to institute therapeutic hypothermia and/or prophylactic controlled normothermia, respectively, in patients in need of tissue and organ protection, uncontrolled body temperatures possibly adding - per se - to neuronal damage. Furthermore, we want to share evidence and clinical experience in the management of accidental hypo- and hyperthermia.

The 5th Innsbruck Targeted Temperature Management Symposium - covers a large spectrum of scientific and clinical topics in the field of emergency and critical care medicine. Besides the rich program about the present knowledge, current practice and future perspectives, this trinational conference is complemented by a parallel symposium for nursing professionals on June 2, 2017.
